Thailand Mission Announcement
We are proud to announce a new mission effort. Neale and Dalissa Bryan, along with the Highland Heights Church of Christ plan to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to Bangkok, Thailand.
The Bryans have been to Thailand twice before. In the summer of 2002, while at Freed-Hardeman University, they spent six weeks teaching English as part of a small group mission serving the Somprasong 4 Church of Christ in Bangkok. Recently, in January of 2006, they returned to Bangkok and the Somprasong 4 church for a six month working survey trip. The purpose of this trip was to evaluate the need for a long-term mission effort in Bangkok, while building and implementing a customized English program for the Thai people using the Bible.
In December of 2006, the elders of the Highland Heights Church of Christ in Smyrna, TN assumed oversight of this future mission effort to Bangkok. Planning and fundraising are still in the early stages, but they could send the Bryans into the mission field as soon as late Summer 2007. The Bryans have committed to work in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand for five years, with the definite possibility to continue the work longer as necessary.
