Regular Reports
Well, I suppose it is time to start up the regular reports again. Things are really starting to happen as we are getting geared up continue the Lord’s work in Thailand.
The first question someone asks when they find out we are moving to Thailand is “when are you thinking of leaving?” Well, we’re shooting for an August 20th departure. This date was chosen for a few reasons, but mostly because our friend, P’ Rung, who acts as our “handler”, so to speak, will be leaving Thailand on September 1st to come Stateside for a couple of months. We’d like to get over there before she leaves to come over here. She’ll be a huge help to us as we return to Bangkok and try to get settled down and restarted.
We’re cognizant of the fact that August 20th is 11 short weeks away. This fact is makes us both excited and a little anxious. We can hardly wait to hop back on a plane to see our “other” family in Bangkok, but we’re still trying to wrap our heads around what it will be like to be so far away from our friends and family here in the states. But what’s REALLY in the forefront of our minds is how we’re going to get everything done before we go.
The laundry-list of things to do seems to be growing daily — from applying for VISAs to selling our car to figuring what we’re going to keep, sell, give away, and throw away. It’s only a little more overwhelming than we thought it would be. But we’re happy to go through all of these preparations for the joy we receive from working with the Somprasong 4 church in Bangkok.
